DOPPELGÄNGER CAST AND CREW
STARRING
Monique Day
AS JUSTINE "THE PROTAGONIST"
Monique played the lead protagonist in the film, representing social issues such as depression, mental illness, drug addiction and living in poverty. The role she played was the most difficult role of the film, therefore multiple 1:00 hour sessions of role overview were done in order to help get her in character of 'justine'. Monique was an experienced actress, having worked in the well renowned series 'Top Boy' for several years. Therefore, it was a no brainer to cast Monique as the lead role as her experience could make the jobs of the production team much swifter/easier. In addition to her talents on the screen, she also voiced her own character in the voice over and even helped with the script which showed that she was completely invested in the production.
Archibald Foster III
AS ARCHIBALD "THE BOYFRIEND"
Archibald plays 'Archibald III' otherwise known as the protagonists illusionary boyfriend. Archibald's role was extremely vital as he also played a role in the death scene as the sole driver in the car accident. The role was an unusual one for him due to the script being non-linear and unusual however, archibald quickly understood his role as the 'dream' boyfriend and throughly enjoyed the role. Though archibald was an un experienced actor, he certainly did not portray any signs of inexperience on the screen, showing that he was fully adaptable to the script and capable of performing above expectations.
David Ossai
AS JAY "THE DEALER
Jay the 'Drug dealer' was played by a CTK aquinas student and a close friend to the group, David Ossai. David's role was of a antagonist of such, (the role was too insignificant to be deemed antagonist worthy because the flaws of the protagonist was the mental illness/drug addiction) as he was required to distribute the drugs to the protagonist throughout the film. His feature role was towards the tail end of the film where the protoganist fails to purchase drugs due to her lack of money, therefore she is required to have sexual relations with 'Jay'. We believed that this scene was the most polished scene in the film and showed how proficient our filming skills had become.
Karen Nguyen
AS JUSTINE " THE REAL JUSTINE'
Karen Nguyen is our co-editor, co-director and so many more however, she also decided to take the vacant spot in our film as playing the real 'Justine'. The role was convenient for us as karen was already required to be on set most days, therefore it was also a no brainer to implement her into the role. Her requirements were to play the character of the individual who the protagonist envisions them self as.
