A storyboard is a graphic organizer in the form of illustrations or images displayed in sequence for the purpose of pre-visualizing a motion picture, animation, motion graphic or interactive media sequence. The process of storyboarding
Initial StoryBoard
The original storyboard used for film draft
The initial storyboard was made on the very first day of film development. During this process, the idea and aim of the film was clear, however the films plot was far from being completed. Over 50% of the ideas thought of at this point in time were eventually decided on to not be included in the film. The art for the initial storyboard was also very lackluster due to the films potential not being thought of yet.
Second Story board
Storyboard for the original 'doppelganger'
The second storyboard was a more developed animatic which illustrates progression throughout the film. These storyboards were used for the initial 'Doppelganger Film' that was later cut. The original film consisted of a two-day shoot which took place in three locations. (Peckham Rye Park, Cafe & A flat) The film was then deemed simplistic and unprofessional by our film team and we decided on reconstructing the entire film in order to apply our new found experience & knowledge on something more impressionable. Therefore a multitude of these shots/scenes were cut out of the film and the creation of the final storyboard began.
Developed story board
Final storyboard used for final cut
The film takes on the task of developing contrasting lifestyles of the protagonist through the use of her imagination. Therefore the Good Life in the film represents the life of the protagonist while she is having illusions & dreaming of a lifer where she is happy. The Bad Life in the film represents the protagonists current state and showcases the hardships of her every-day journey throughout the film.
